The Quonset Hut Surface Area calculator computes the exterior surface area (A) of a Quonset hut based on the height, length and width. This includes the roof and both ends.

The Greenhouse Surface Area equation (Quonset shaped) calculates the exterior surface area of a greenhouse based on simple measurements. This includes the roof and both ends.

The surface area calculation is a simple computation summing the lateral area sides of the green house defined by the semicircle of radius H times the roof area. The default input units are feet, and the calculator returns cubic feet. However, vCalc lets the user can choose one of many length and volume units for automatic conversion from the pull-down list for both the input length units and the output volume units.

The surface area of a greenhouse is useful for calculating construction material needs and for computing the conductive heat loss of the greenhouse.
